The compact, tough and smart Spectra Precision® DG813 pipe laser provides you with speed, improved reliability, robustness and long lasting performance when it comes to pipe laying. With a large self-leveled grade range, the DG813 is completely waterproof, fast, smart and easy to use.
The DG813 benefits from the latest technology developed by Spectra Precision to deliver an unprecedented performance when laying pipes. The length has of this pipe laser has been reduced to make it easier to set it up in tight inverts in a manhole. Fully self-leveling over the entire grade range, the DG813 has a grade range of -12 percent to 40 percent. The cross axis is also fully compensated to provide you with quick set up and peace of mind that the DG813 will be level without the need to adjust at the bottom of the invert.
With a working distance of up to 500 feet with full operation in a single set up between manholes, the DG813 comes with the RC803 remote control, which provides full function control and uses infrared light in the pipe for up to 500 feet of control. In “over-the-top” setups, the RC803 uses radio communications up to 430 feet.
NiMH rechargeable batteries provide you with 40 hours of operating time while alkaline batteries can provide you with 50 hours. The alkaline batteries can be used without a separate battery pack while an additional car charger allows you to work in remote areas.
You can easily see the large graphical user interface of the DG813 when it is in a manhole and all the functions are available in a menu to make it simple and easy to use, eliminating any secret button pressing. The DG813 has a short learning curve so it can be used by any one on your crew with little to no training. The RC803 remote features the same graphical user interface as the DG813 as well.
The advanced functions of the DG813 make it easy to set up and use, while ensuring accuracy. The laser can shoot the beam upwards to align to the next manhole at the first day from a short, deep trench as the beam moves up to 100 percent in seconds with the Line Set/Check function. The beam can quickly sweep , both left and right, as well as be stopped on the target using the remote control with the Line Scan function. The Line Alert function is automatically activated one the grade and alignment are set so the user can be warned when the set-up has been disturbed, helping you avoid costly errors and re-work.
The Spectra Precision® DG813 also comes with a smart Spot Finder SF803to further increase productivity. The DG813 can align automatically to the center of the SF803 making it an ideal solution for first day set up and can also calculate grade, which is great for checking previous work on the second day of set up.
The bright beam of the DG813 moves quickly and accurately for alignment and grade and can easily be spotted in the pipe. The beam is enhanced with the patented target that can bend the beam upward, which makes it easy to see when looking down at a pipe and reduces the need to bend down to see the beam when you are in a trench or standing above a trench.
The Spectra Precision® DG813 can be mounted in pipe of any size starting at 6 inches as this pipe laser has multiple attachments available. A blower is available to evenly circulate air through the pipe, helping to avoid refraction of the beam inside the pipe.
